Leslie Benton is an experienced Public Sector Sales Manager with more than thirty years of wireless industry experience with Southern Linc, a Southern Company. She has held many roles during her career, and all have developed her into the successful, customer-focused professional she is today.
Leslie is highly knowledgeable of the inner-workings of wireless technology and is considered a product expert in her field. Leslie’s current role as Public Sector Sales Manager gives her the opportunity to work with state and local government organizations to uncover wireless communications needs and provide solutions for them. She leads a team of sales professionals across Alabama that develops wireless solutions for government customers.
Over the course of her years with Southern Linc, Leslie has been a highly awarded contributor. She has received Southern Linc’s Manager of the Year, Top Sales Producer, and Best of the Best awards multiple times. Her sales acumen and product knowledge have made her a leader across Southern Linc’s Sales organization.
Leslie is a member of the National Emergency Number Association and APCO International, the largest organization of public safety communications professionals. She has also served on the Alabama Wireless 911 board which has given her extensive knowledge of the 911 community.
Leslie is a dedicated supporter of the Alabama Sheriff Youth Ranches. She has been organizing golf tournaments for the past twenty-eight years where the proceeds go to support the children.
Leslie received her degree in accounting from Auburn University and is a licensed real estate agent. Outside of work, she enjoys living on Lake Martin and spending time boating with family and friends.
